Coatings for rail applications
Rail coatings are supplied through Becker Industrial Coatings France, serving public transport sectors around the world.
Becker Industrie has an historical and highly successful background in formulating railway-dedicated paints to match the specifications of most train and coach manufacturers worldwide. Since 1994 the company has worked with the AQF2 certification from the Societé Nationale des Chemins de Fer (S.N.C.F) for its coating materials for rail equipment in France.
In 1998 a joint venture partnership, Sico-Becker, was formed with the Canadian company Sico. In 2004 Beckers acquired the whole of the joint venture, consolidating this successful story.
Since 2002 Beckers has developed and gained approval for its 100% water-borne paint system including primers, topcoat and clear-coat, that meet all specifications in terms of corrosion, UV resistance, anti-graffiti protection and durability. This system is now in widespread use on existing projects, giving customers the opportunity to meet increasing demands for VOC reduction with a waterborne paint system that meets existing and future regulations.
Becker Industrie's facility in Le Pont-de-Claix, France, where the products are manufactured, is approved by S.N.C.F and is ISO 9001 V2000 certified.
