Oil and water do mix!
Unlocking vital georesources such as oil or gas requires drilling, often under the harshest conditions, either on-shore or off-shore. Drillmec, based in Piacenza, Italy, is a specialist in innovative technology for the energy industry, with roots going back to 1922. Drillmec bases its reputation on two main factors: attention to human resources and efficiency in construction. The drilling industry, always very cost-conscious, is now concerned to minimise environmental impact.
In a bid to minimise VOC emissions Drillmec now uses Beckers’ waterborne Beckqua range to paint their rigs. For most components Beckqua epoxy primer and PU topcoat are applied. Drillmec is very happy with the reduced environmental impact, excellent appearance and reliable performance of the coating, even in extreme conditions.
