New coil coating gives cost and environmental benefits
Beckers has developed a coil coating system for thermal control which offers cost savings and environmental benefits in all climates. Thermal control coatings reduce solar gain within the building envelope by reflecting and re-emitting solar energy more efficiently than normal coatings. This gives improved comfort inside the building and reduces air conditioning loads.
The patented BeckryTherm system has a number of unique advantages, including:
- substantially improved thermal control performance compared with other thermal control coatings
- a wider range of colours, including darker and traditional roofing colours
- an exclusive interior coating, which acts as a thermal barrier in both hot and cold climates.
The BeckryTherm system comes in two parts: BeckryTherm exterior (topcoat and primer) and BeckryTherm interior. The full system should be specified in areas of high solar gain, while BeckryTherm interior on its own acts as a thermal barrier, saving money and lowering environmental impact in both hot and cold climates.
