Beckers supplies mobile phone, consumer electronic, transport and other OEMs, and their subcontractors, with special coatings for plastic and metal substrates, supported by a raft of other expertise — including colour styling, technical, application and environmental advice.
But firstly, why coat these substrates? Some reasons…
- They look better. Coated plastics or metal substrates offer choice of colour, gloss and texture. Coating masks minor surface defects and flow lines, for a better-finished product.
- They feel better. Special coatings give surfaces that really "appeal" to the touch.
- They wear better. Coatings improve their mechanical and chemical properties.
- They sell better. Coated pieces can make plastics/metal more marketable — by conferring special properties which make them conductive, anti-static, fire resistant and more.
